2010, performance-protest, istanbul
It was a reaction to the limits built in the public spaces, I wanted to inform people about the existence of the sea behind the wall where there is no connection with the sea even in a city like İstanbul. After spending one month at the Karaköy neighbourhood, this vacant wall became a potential to show my reaction about the limitations of a public space. Before policemen tore down the letters, it was written on the wall:
“Attention! There is the sea behind the wall!”
